God's Club, formerly Holy Warrior, Goes Into Production

Well, I can finally announce that a film based on my script, Holy Warrior, now called God's Club, will begin filming in late July.

The first three stars to sign on are Stephen Baldwin, who will play the main character, Michael Evens; Corbin Bernsen as Max Graves; and Lorenzo Lamas as Spenser Rivers.

This is an exciting time for me, of course, but up front, this is a work dedicated to God, as a Christian film meant to praise and glorify Him.

I'll follow up as more actors sign on.

Five Star Review of my novel, Last Sunrise:

In "Last Sunrise," John Chadwell gives the reader the whole package. A contemporary novel set in the American West, "Last Sunrise" has elements of the best Romance fiction along with those of the classic western.

There is plenty to engage the reader's interest here. The suspenseful storyline encompasses the struggles of a small ranch operator to stay afloat despite the hurdles placed in his way by the bigger, manipulative landowner who has already swallowed up most of his operation.
Chadwell also presents his audience with complex moral issues, such as whether it is all right to perform a mercy killing on someone who is hopelessly trapped in a burning vehicle, facing an even more hideous and painful death.

The author writes movingly of his characters' connection to the land, whether they own it or are just traveling through it. Even more movingly, he portrays the love between a man and his wife of many years, who is dying from the effects of a devastating terminal illness. All of this is shown through the eyes of characters who are so realistically drawn that the reader can picture sitting down to coffee or sharing a campfire with them.

This is the first work of Mr. Chadwell's that I have read. It won't be the last. -- R. Dunbar

I downloaded this book for my Kindle and I am so glad I did. It has one of the most unusual plots that I have ever encountered. The spanning of time issue, added to the unusual characters, makes this a really unique story line.

Author John Chadwell knows how to weave a yarn with all of the right suspense and twists. His characters are believable and he makes the reader care what happens to them.

I will certainly follow up with some of the other John Chadwell novels I see listed here. He is an author whose writing and plotting makes me want to read more of his work. I highly recommend Werewolves of New Idria - Holy Warriors. -- Texas Journalist
